Various Artists - Lattice 005
Mesh presents Lattice 005, a collaborative EP continuing a conversation between artists and worlds, played out through a panorama of sonic references.

Lattice 005 offers a gently diffused ambience of inward looking electronics, carefully suspended between physical environments and interior states. Each artist approaches notions of transformation from differing perspectives, continuing a dialogue of expansion and experimentation.

Vicente Roca explores hide and seek as a metaphor for personal transformation, using swirling pads offset by flickers of saxophone and delicate piano to create a sincere place of retreat. ‘Only Once’ is Jan Steiner’s ode to fleeting moments of beauty, using rhythmic fragments that fly through cycles where each one is heard only once, against a backdrop of glitchy drums and synchronous dub echoes. Iloh dives deeper into his early influences on ‘Feeling of a Shadow’, channeling ambient, IDM, and trip hop into a fusion of acoustic and digital sounds, carried by a melancholic sub glow. Bringing together an ensemble of violin, cello, tuned percussion, and field recordings, Luke Mombrea’s ‘Village in the Grove’ builds a sense of yearning whilst traversing the gradient between natural and artificial. Rounding things off, Baasch collaborates with Alif Hilal F.K.A Lyra Pramuk to produce ‘Disappear’, a haunting composition of vocal interplay that lives in a fragile space where reality blurs into dream.

Operating in a hazy overlap where ambient abstractions converse with emotionally exposed sound art, Lattice 005 sketches a world that rewards complete immersion and deep listening.
