Balancing a classic rave vibe with modern production values, ‘Revolution’ deploys big club sounds with precision, Alex Banks delivers the second single from his forthcoming album ‘Beneath The Surface’, released on Max Cooper’s Mesh imprint on 6 June.

As with other Mesh releases, ‘Revolution’ works just as well in the club and as it does for a bugged-out headphone moment – this is low-end hi-fi skiffle for dancefloor shuffles.

Following lead single ‘Chasms’, premiered by Mary-Anne Hobbs on BBC 6Music, ‘Revolution’ showcases the versatility of the esteemed producer’s sonic soundscape.

Label owner Max Cooper: “A lot of what we're doing with the label is more oriented around a personal listening experience, but live shows and club sessions are still a big part of the recipe. Alex has created an album with a beautiful balance between huge riffs and delicate, interesting production. It's a mixture of elements which is hard to achieve, and something I want to strive for with the label, to find the artistry in club music as well as that in home-listening.”
