Lattice 004
Continuing the Lattice series, in which Mesh invites artists from differing perspectives for a musical conversation, refracted through a kaleidoscope of references, Lattice004 will be released on Friday 31st October on all digital streaming platforms.
In this fourth instalment, the artists span hypnotic ambience to full-throttle experimentation, exploring their own terrains with a common drive to push boundaries.
MONORAUM spins up a flurry of bells that levitate above infinite piano echoes before gradually building into cinematic swirls of richly-layered sound on ‘Particles’.
52Hz’s ‘Mono No Aware’ opens with growling basslines that ebb and flow over glitched-out drums and delicate arpeggios before giving way to a crashing wave of noise.
Mutated speed garage leads the march on Alex Lesage’s robotic ‘not what I expected, still here’, a high-energy cut of machine funk.
Mattr channels other-planetary ambience on ‘Fade’, a high-octane spiral of IDM percussive fragments and vast sonic surrounds.
Rounding things off, Handbook Of Magic’s ‘YAMA’ is a sweeping orchestral journey through the unknown.
Lattice 004 is a snapshot into electronic music’s most exploratory corners, shifting gears into the unexpected at every opportunity.
